Welcome to Heswall u3a

Heswall u3a is a volunteer led organisation for retired or semi-retired people who live in or around Heswall. It offers the opportunity to pursue a little learning for sheer enjoyment and for its own sake.

If you are looking to come together with like-minded people in a non-political, non-religious environment, to share knowledge and experience, learn new skills or learn more about the local area and get to know a wide circle of interesting people then you’ve come to the right place.

We are a lively and friendly group offering a wide range of creative, study, physical and leisure activities in an informal environment.

Interest Groups of all types for like-minded members are possible. You will find current interest groups listed on the Interest Groups page. We will do our best to help start new groups.

As a u3a our principles are mutual aid and self-help, the mantra is “by the members, for the members”, members are volunteers with something to contribute.

Some people join simply to become involved in one specific Interest Group, some join to come along to the monthly Speaker Meetings and some join to become involved in several groups, activities and events.
